Mobius Forensic Toolkit description
An open-source set of forensic tools written in Python/GTK.
Mobius Forensic Toolkit is an open-source set of forensic tools written in Python/GTK. It is application centered instead of being file centered, which means it gathers information throughout evidence disks and directories and shows it in an integrated way. Mobius Forensic Toolkit features an ICQ viewer/browser.
INSTALLATION:
As root, type:
python setup.py install
USAGE:
Run mobius_icq.py. Click on either "open" menu option or "open" toolbar and enter root directory (evidence "C:" or "/"). Mobius_icq will start scanning this directory, descending recursively, searching for ICQ artifacts.
Requirements:

· Extensions are now deployed in .mobius files.
· This version features three new extensions: Datasource SCSI, for drag'n'drop of /dev/sd* files directly into case, Data Viewer, a hexviewer for case items, and Extension Manager.
· Floppy Imager has been improved and uses direct I/O only.
· Minor improvements were made.
