    GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
    GIMP can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program or an image format converter,you can call it mini photoshop and it has most useful tools of PS in it but the best side is that it's free.
