    timeouts

    hi all,

    recently i have been experiencing a lot of timeout requests, not for me too much but for my peers.
    i have tried changing a few settings, cutting back maxhops and cccreshare levels, but nothing seems to have made it better.

    even with nothing else using the internet, just oscam its still bad.
    just looking at the status right now.
    its all timeouts or cache1/2 hits.

    have already lost a few peers, and dont want to loose anymore
    my BB is 10mb/1mb at the moment, but hopefully will be upgraded to much faster soon.

    any ideas?

      hi,
      I have been experiencing the same thing.
      In my situation problem appears with internet connection which is LTE modem. At the same time when server has got timeout I have pressed 'refresh' button in my internet browser and site does not refresh.
      When site got refreshed server receiving DCW.
      LTE internet is up to 100mb/s but modem sometimes freezes.

      You can try your ping when server is timeout.

          anyone else any ideas?
          thinking of a total re-built of all oscam config files, maybe i introduced some bad setting.

          ping times to my peers are ok.

              What version of Oscam are you running generally a restart of oscam will cure this

                  have tried several version of Oscam, currently on 8480, but have tried 8715 & 8752 all the same issue.

                  i have managed to solve the issue though, i wiped all my config files and started again.
                  there was some setting in my users config file which seemed to be causing this.
                  not too sure which one, but i turned off AU, set CCC Ignore Re-share to -1

                  all seems to be back to normal now, no timeouts for the last hour and good response times for card requests.

                  i suspect in my efforts to restrict some users who were passing a huge amount of requests thru me, i broke something which affected all users.

                  anyway, all sorted now.
