      Re: oscam and satlover

I have been using oscam for a few days but with the same cline i am not able to open some providers that are working under cccam. On other providers it takes too much time to open and with cccam it's more faster. What could be the problem?

Ok mate, but why not give it a try and se if there is any diffrence. Try example just ad those providers you watch and hope for a good result

                Re: oscam and satlover

Another reason could be that channels were open by emu feature of ccc*am.
As we know, pure osc*am has no emu inside so, for those channels, we could have a worse decoding (in case the cline in not good enough).

                    hi knap92
may be you need to connect to the receiver via FTP and check the attributes in my receiver is set to 755 and oscam works.

                        that makes no sense.

dvbapi file helps with priorities, and can speed up zap times substantially, even solve some issues, that is correct.

services file may help with some "cleaner" usage of oscam, but is definitely not required to watch TV

and srvid file makes no sense whatsoever -.- the only reason for that file is so you have an actual providername and channel name in the WebIF when looking at it ... it's of pure cosmetical nature, and has got nothing to do with the functionality of oscam.

in fact, for people that use oscam as a client for many packages (like using the free lines from satlover), having all those packages in a srvid file and loading that into oscam on an STB (dreambox, vu+ etc), is a huge waste of memory for nothing ... what the ... ?

                            Re: oscam and satlover

The problem of 1.20 versions is the instability (that's why i have returned to cccam) But in the past three days i am giving oscam a chance again. I am using "Oscam 1.20-unstable_svn build r8735 + oscam.dvbapi" on dm500s and everything is going fine: fast and stable. I will give it a try for more time and will post the results.

                            regards

Is dvbapi equivalent to cccam priority file
