    oscam in barbados

    hi guys been trying to setup oscam in barbados. They use rqcs and jtag the secondary key out of the boxes here (cable MCTV) they use N3 1802 card. I have asked this question on several forums with no joy of an answer yet...

    1... can oscam use the secondary key method to clear channels. I have this key and is works fine in rqcs but want to get oscam up and running here. From what I have read IRDs use one of three different N3 encryptions DT06 DT08 and Secondary Key. In rqcs if the secondary key method is used then it doesnt need the boxkey and it overides the other methods.

    Guys that jtag the boxes over here are very secretive. I have two cards that I have the secondary keys for. Just need to know If I can use them in oscam. Cheers guys

    what you mean with that secondary key, is it RSA, AES or which one?

      Re: oscam in barbados

      Hi Mirny thanks for the reply. The secondary key is 96bytes long and has this format ...

      IR IR IR IR ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ 00 03 F1 F1
      F1 F1 F1 F1 F1 F1 SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK
      SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK
      SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK
      SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK SK
      SK SK SK SK SK SK F2 F2 F2 F2 F2 F2 F2 F2 CR CR

      IR = Receiver serial number
      ZZ = Unimportant
      F1 = SK signature 1 used to calculate the box key
      F2 = SK signature 2 used to calculate the box key
      SK = RSA public modulus N
      CR = CRC Checksum
      BB = BoxKey result from xoring F1 with F2 keys stored in the flash firmware from the receiver.

      I am confused as I have been told that the RSA key is 128 bytes. So this is just the secondary key which as you can see is 96 bytes. I have tried this key in oscam as the rsa key and xor F1 and F2 to get the boxkey. Oscam reads the card entitlements but says cannot access card check rsa and boxkey. I just need to know if oscam would work with the secondary key or does it need full rsa and boxkey. Again cheers as not many responses on other forums to this question so maybe its a situation that isn't common.

        surely you'll need full keys.
        this is a quite serious theme and i dont think that some will tell you just like that how its exactly works. These things are people letting just for them and they're not posting this on the public forums. there are quite big money in this case.

          no, you can't use secondary key in oscam, you need use rsa and boxkey. i use oscam for read my nagra3 card in nord america, and your card is almost the same of mine.

            hi galingo thanks thats what I needed to know. can you confirm the size of the full rsa key mate. I think its 128 bytes? is that true. I can try and get the guys who jtag the boxes over here to supply the full rsa key but they are very secretive here. Personally I think oscam is a much better package than rqcs. Again thanks for the feedback guys.
