so if you are watchin one channel on one box you are using lets say an average of 1 ecm per 6 seconds.. 600 an hour... you have 2 boxes watching channels.. 1200 ecm an hour.. if server suspects anything and he is sat in front of his computer, he only needs to hit refresh on his cs-studio or whatever he uses and your boxes would show.. say one on sly sports 1 and on next refresh (a second or two) sly disney.. or even worse one on 28.2e and one on 16e.. A few refreshes and it would show you constant flicking between the 2 channels or sats, twice as much ecm usage, I have seen some servers giving you an average ecm usage for an hour; you go over this and your line will be cut off

Its not about ECM, its about the same IP with two MAC addresses. Both the receivers will have different MAC addresses. As far as I know the IP address should go with only one MAC address at one time.

server see's ip address not mac address. if you use one box at once in same ip then server would not know, you use 2 boxes at same time in same ip server would know.. the newer servers nlines won't allow you to watch 2 boxes at once in same ip, it causes yor box too much gliching so you have to tell them you have 2 boxes and they can allow 2 boxes to be used.

I don't know what's problem here so much. Server sees external IP of the rec, it would be nice though that it sees mac address as well but it's not the case, maybe there are some protocols that can allow that.
There are ecm thing as well including CAIDS ... If you use two clines of server 4, on 2 recs, then there would be quite frequent ecm request from your IP since server sees IP's.
Server WILL undoubtedly see two different emc CAID requests, let's say C+ Holland and CanalSat, at the same second!!! And it, by itself is enough to put that IP to RIP status!

But, Satlover was more than generous to grant us with more then 1200 same ecm requests after which it will report back user with that IP to SL for IP blck and potential ban status!??
If one ecm by one CAID view is 10 seconds, then calculate by yourself...
1200 when used on two recs is divided to two ecm requests so 1200/2=600 ecm's after which is reported back as suspicious to SL server.
600 ecm's * 10 seconds = 6000 seconds which if divided further 6000/60 secs per min=100 minutes or hour and a half of viewing.

Heeeh, is there anybody brave enough to enter for competition in ecm exclusion, to see if this works like this !!!

I have really never done anything with reshare but it is nice function to know about.

This is my thought about how i imagine it works or it maight work as this.

I receive key from server 1. I have oscam on my receiver and a friend have also a receiver capable of cs. So when i receive key from server 1 i save them in a "cache" modus first and then i can send the local keys i saved to my friend. How can server 1 then detect this.

Just a question for Triad, I am no expert in reshare or ECM calculation. What would be the situation if you are using two boxes at the same time with one line and watching same channel in two room? How will it work as the two boxes will be asking for the same code?

Just to give a shot and triad correct me Might this have something to do with that the server owner can see that you are asking for to much ecm then what a normal IP should ask for, he might get suspicios and monitor you etc....

example... if 1 box uses 600 ecm an hour then 2 boxes will use 1200 ecm per hour, doesnt matter if its on the same channel the ecm would be double that of a normal user using 1 box. this over a 10 hour period would show 6000 for 1 box 12000 for 2 boxes, quite a big difference..

Some servers allow the cline to be used in two boxes as long as they have they same i.p.
Think you can't use at the same time in both boxes though.

If someone doubts: best ask to admin before you try - won't take the risk!

Bokkie may be right, I don't remember on which thread exactly (didn't find it either), but I read it was stated that using a twin-tuner in a box (same ip) should be ok.

I have a vu+ duo and use my payserver (not satlover ) on both tuners simultaneously.
Admittedly I don't need to do this very often.
Nothing has been said to me.

Pan, I learned it hard way too, some years ago when I got polite admin info using Gbox CS to stop making server cs spam!
Still I was not banned.

It will overlap itself with ecm requests... Simply as that. 10 secs and 10secs more until server learns that there are more ecm requests then allowed in given time of 1200 ecm's. For example it will fill ecm allowed quota in half that time! And it by itself is enough for alarm!

Of course, besides other factors as CAID's and channels ID's!

Just a notion for microchick, I doubt as any of you would, that some user will be comfortable enough watching one and the same channel in a living room as well as in the bedroom for example!??
but there are freakin' cases maybe fight in the house !!? heeh

Ok, i understand!

I bought for my father a receiver, he has 2 Clines.

i pinged them, ended up with 2 differents servers for each CLine.
We R in the same house same ip Adresse.

BTW: Clines were Bought with the Box and password protected,so may be it is not monitored!?

but i managed to have the Clines

Can I put 1 Cline on each Box?

will the payserver detect it?

hi newbee and welcome!

I don't know the server you're talking about, but normally there's no problem to use more lines at the same time on same IP and different boxes IF they are from a different server (as you say) - as written here above in this thread, 'server' can see/monitor ECM times.
If you doubt and want to be sure: why not ask the server, or isn't this an option ?
