CCcam -> OScam -> Newcamd problem.

    Hi.

    I have a problem.
I can't get oscam to work as it should.
I have configured conf, user, server the best I can.
    How should it be configured?

    Code:
This works now on old hardware (NSLU2):

    /var/etc/CCcam.cfg in the Dreambox.
    C: 192.168.0.100 12000 user passwd
    	|
    	v
/etc/CCcam.cfg in the server (NSLU2) that will be replaced with [COLOR="Red"]oscam-svn6584 [/COLOR]on other hardware.
    F: user passwd 5 0 0 { 0:0:3 }
    N:123.45.67.89 10000 user passwd 00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 AA BB CC DD EE FF
    N:123.45.67.89 10001 user passwd 00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 AA BB CC DD EE FF
    N:123.45.67.89 10002 user passwd 00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 AA BB CC DD EE FF

Re: CCcam -> OScam -> Newcamd problem.

if you want run newcamd as a server in oscam, you must set it up in oscam.conf in section [newcamd]
    HD-BOX FS-9200,SkyStar HD2 USB CI, Skystar2 90Fe Motor, 85Al Multifeed

Re: CCcam -> OScam -> Newcamd problem.

It is a local dreambox (CCcam) talking to a local server (NSLU2 with CCcam) that is talking to a remote card server (Newcamd).

The old NSLU2 server will be replaced with a "GoFlex Net" and there is no binary or source available for CCcam.
      Therefore OSCam.

If you know any other software that can talk upwards with CCcam and downwards with Newcamd let me know.

Re: CCcam -> OScam -> Newcamd problem.

        Is there log from NSLU2.
        I think NSLU2 can`t connect to newcamd.

Re: CCcam -> OScam -> Newcamd problem.

in summary, your dreambox that uses cccam connects to a decoder that uses oscam, who spoke with a remotely via 3 lines newcamd?

In your stb with oscam, can you enable dvbapi and try if if the channels are working properly with a direct connection?

must you change the cccam.cfg to oscam-svn6584.cfg?

                hi

you're talking about running newcam as a server withint oscam ...

as a newbee with it, i saw that within cccam 2.1.4 module,
command scripts point to newcs_1.67 and oscam_0.99.4

but i get confused when approching oscam:

can you please fix my idea like
is it a super cam acting as a driver for sub-cam as cccam, newcam, newcs, ... ?
is it possible to configure it from cline ?
to test it on cccam server ?

do you have some hints about it ?

                ---
and, by the way, what is the advantage running oscam vs cccam ?

                thx
