OSCAM CAN SHARE DIRECT ONLY OVER NEWCAMD PROTOKOL.THAT MEANS IF YOU WANT CONNECT TO OSCAM YOU NEEEEEED N-LINE.IF YOU DONT PUT N-LINE IN YOUR OSCAM.CONFIG YOU CANT SHARE ANYTHING IN I-NET.

depend on the client protocol
You just put it (one of the three above) in the oscam.conf

And how you connect CCcam to Oscam for Sharing?Where you can put CCcam in oscam.config
I mean off course you can receive with Oscam share like Client for CCcam or another Protokol.But the only way to use Oscam like Server is newcamd Line to connect CCcam or other Emulators.

I have read on Satlover that you should always use the latest CCcam, which would be CCcam 2.2.1

If you have lots of peers of using a specific version, then for full compatibility use that to.

Ofcourse if you need some special features increase to the version that has it.

In my opinion is the best practice

Sometimes if using a CCCam Lan , Wan with the protocole newcamd and Nlines in server and client ,
it's preferable to have the same version of CCcam in Server and Client
