    Settings CCcam.cfg

    Hi everybody,

    - good internet connection is available
    - cccam 2.3.0 is running
    - serverort (ciine) exists and running
    - openatv 5.1

    Problem:
every ~30 secs the screen freezes for ~5 secs

What causes the problem? Can any one help me?
    a) the cccam server, because many user accessing it at the same time?
    b) EMU "cccam 2.3.0" should better not be used?
    c) ...

I read many-many websites, even here in this forum.
I still have challange to watch without freeze.

    What emu is recommended?
if Emu "Cccam" is recommended, how can I optimize the settings to watch without freeze?

if Emu "Oscam" is recommended, how to transfer a cline with
    C: server port ["no"] [value1,value2,value3]
to oscam settings? And where are those files located in openatv/E2 ?

    Thanks, JWL

    Re: Settings CCcam.cfg

You need to give more info,ie Receiver type etc, some receivers like Dreambox VU, etc
can use a Prio file to help with problems, so members with these receivers can help you.

Does not seem to be a lot of info on the site re this Stb, have you tried another line supplier to see if this makes a difference.

          Hi

I will suggest you the same as dear Mobley3

Make a quick seach on the net and find a test server.
Take a C-line, put it in your box and test it.

If the results are the same, then the problem is on your box and we will find a solution to fix it.

If the test server is running ok, then the server that you have is weak and maybe you should find a better one.

            Thx, supplier was the problem!

Using another supplier solves the problem.

Now switching channels is much faster + almost no freezing.

So not all supplier are fast.

Guess which supplier I had the problem with?

Does it make sense maybe to use another emu, so instead of cccam, use oscam or another one?

If the line is stable then why do so, unless you want to experiment.

                Hi JonnyWanLee

You have to do some tests by you're self in order to see if a change of the cam makes sense or not for you.

It's very easy to add or remove a cam from your box.

I suggest you to try oscam.

                  Re: Settings CCcam.cfg

well I wanna experiment... to see if another emu is better

                  I have cline such
C: server port un pw ["no"] [value1,value2,value3]
                  or
                  C: server port un pw

1.how can I transfer or map those values to a oscam setting?
2.where are those files located in openatv/E2 ?

I have following emus, which one is good to use?
                  - oscam-atv
                  - oscam-atv-emu
                  - osacm-atv-ymod
                  - oscam-atv-depponmod
                  - mgcamd 1.35
                  - mgcamd 1.38

PS: by the way, does cccam.prio file has any positiv effect, so that ...
                  1. channels runs without freeze?
                  2. switching channels are fast?

                    Try the first ... oscam-atv

Then continue reading on the link that I gave you above.

If you have problem in converting the C-line to oscam, try this tool that I just upload it for you :

                    I don't use cccam.prio at all.

                    For me it's useless

                      Re: Settings CCcam.cfg

                      Thanks kalpikos,

The application you have uploaded is perfect!
It is easy to use. It worked for me, i.e. I now can also use oscam.

                      The outcome of my experiment:
                      - I don't see any benefit of oscam. oscam is good as cccam. At least in the standard setting. So I will stay with cccam.
                      - I don't see any benefit of cccam.prio as you mentioned. I will remove the prio file I created.

As you mentioned ... to watch the channels without or with less freeze, the supplier must be good and fast.

                      Another question I have:
In internet there are many-many 1day suppliers.
Even the clines are from current day,
                      - the most of them does work at all
                      - few works, but many freezes
                      - just 1 or 2 works stable

It takes to much time to find a good supplier and check if it works on TV.

How can I test the cline in my local computer?
So before I upload the file, I would like to test it, if server & port with access credentials works, than I upload the file.

                        Re: Settings CCcam.cfg

The problem with testing lines is that you leave them open to others to see them too, this results in over subscribed lines, and the very problem you have already experienced.
Do not be tempted to test Satlover lines on any of these sites, as it will result in a ban.

                        regards mobley3

I don't want to test lines on any website,
I want to test the lines on my computer.

The idea I have is similar to watch ipTV.

If I have an ipTV URL, I test the URL with "VLC Player" on my computer.
If it works, I upload it and watch it on TV.

If I have a line I wanna test it on my computer.
Is this test on computer possible, or can I only test the line in receiver?

                            Hi

I suggest you to avoid your pc for testing a c-line and also avoid pages on the net promising online test your line.

Use your receiver for better results.
You can use any ftp program you want or DCC (suggested) in order to trasfer the files.

To make your job easiest, you can create a shortcut on your desktop of cccam.cfg and by opening this shortcut to make any change you want very easy and quickly.

Just in the end the press "save" and then the file wiil be saved in your box.

If you use oscam, everything can be done from webif (add or remove lines).

                              Understood!

I wrote a batch scripts, with dos commands.
                              It contains "ftp commands".
The batch script uploads the config file into the box without running another software.

I think I now have little optimized approach.

I can live with this approach for a while ... until I will start again to experiment
