cccam server setup question

been looking around for guides on how to setup a cccam server in winodws but! alot of people say it's better on ubuntu?

I have a vmware host running vmware 5.5, 32GB Ram, "tb hdd, 32 processors, 4 x 1GB nic's.

can somebody help me find a full guide which ever is best for the above configuration so i can setup my own server "thanks if you can"

also what other equipment do i need? do i need a card readr which can take many cards?
