Maybe it was just a special version from a very clever man

So, be careful from where you download cams and plugins.

If someone knows something more about 2.3.0 version and how safe is, please share it with us.
CCcam 2.3.0 has larger memory footprint because it involves some changes to seca tunneled nagra card support, SID LIMITS in CCcam.cfg...
Also yesterday first time in few years I changed CCcam 2.2.1 to 2.3.0 and saw interesting thing. Attribs are defined by readme to be 777, not 755.
It's some CCcam for Nabilo Black Hole images and it works really well!
Tested on recently viewable M*x TV Cro!
One thing about attribs is that 777 allows client to change CCcam related configs like clines etc...

now, I don't know if 2.3.0 has all the benefits of that version when you use it on 755 but it is working... Also to mention that attribs 755 are only for Read client options but not Write...
I'll run netstat today to see if it's connecting to some other addresses except the server it is connected on!?

As for the exploits embedded, soft*cam'tv version of the CCcam 2.3.0 had some forward script in it as discovered on rdi.board in 2012.
CCcam forwarded clients data to geolocated: 64.120.55.*** United States Texas Bryan Nobis Technology Group Llc

It immediately alarmed users so some people scanned the IP and did some tampering on the source with tools like Zenmap etc... hmm things get little weird further but it's story for itself.

So, what cccam is faster? I can see all "providers" using 2.0.11 for their servers?

            Re: cccam contest: 2.0.10, 2.0.11, 2.1.4, 2.2.1 and 2.3.0

            Hi

I have the same problem with cccam 2.3.0

I have openpli on my box and version 2.3.0 crashes on some channels.
I think that there is a general problem with newest images.

I removed it and installed an older cccam version.
            So far, all ok.

            Also you can try oscam.

As about the lines and the cccam,
you can put as many lines you want from different servers, but only one from the same server.

              @kalpikos

I have read that these crashes with 2.3.0 can be surpassed with some changes in the cccam.prio file.

                I don't use cccam.prio file at all

I was using cccam 2.3.0 for long time with an older openpli installation, but when I decided to refresh box and renew my image, then the problem with cccam 2.3.0. started.

                So far I didn't found a solution.

I just use an older version of cccam (2.2.1) and I'm ok

Yes, that problem only happens with 2.3.0 version. With 2.2.1 everything is ok.

ps: have you ever tried wica*dd emu?

                  regards

                      What is wica*dd emu?
An alternative emu to cccam, etc?

I personally prefer the version 2.1.4.
                        Is stable and no crashes.

                          wica*dd emu is wicardd

It's not like cccam, I would say that is closest to oscam.
it's very fast and also can open some powervu channels directly.

                          But we go offtopic...

If mods allow to me to open a new topic for wicardd to upload files, I can do it.

I remember very well a channel on 0.8W

                          12015 H 30000 3/4 History Chnl HD

Everytime I select it, my cccam 2.3.0 crashes.
