How do I configure cccam to read my Sly card and read keys, softcam etc?

Hi nanor01. I don't know what model you have a satellite receiver, but usually emulator cccam uses the standard SoftCam from the directory /var/keys - SoftCam.Key. This if your receiver with the Linux operating system.

install cccam first then add the keys file to \bin folder

To use your sly card in your box, you have to enter the following line in cccan.cfg:

BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 xx xx xx xx

or

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx

Replace the xx xx xx xx with the boxkey for your own card. Use the 10 digit serial number of your sky box and convert it to hex and that is your boxkey.

use sci1 or sci0 depending on which card slot in your box you are using.

How do u change the boxkey to hex.I.ve a DM8000 HD pvr tuner..Is the box key the Reciever ID?

The serial number is decimal and needs to be converted to hex. Windows calculator can do this, set view on calculator to 'programmer' and with decimal selected enter the serial number, then click on hex and the display will show the hex value.
