    Re: should i update cccam

    Hi

Normally if a new release of cccam comes, i read the changelog.

If the new release fix a problem, that i have, then I take it on my receiver.

      Re: should i update cccam

      I still read posts where people prefer 2.011, 2.1.2, 2.1.3 and 2.1.4.
I have tried all of them but i havent noticed any significant difference in stability.
I have 3 receivers but on my sunray 800se, cccam 2.011 had problems with nds.
I guess different cccams react differently on different receivers.
For now I use 2.2.1 on all my 3 units.

The only one that you should be try to avoid is 2.3 there has been a lot of bad write ups about it.

I always update because I can not resist :-) CCcam 2.3.0 runs nice i have no problems.
But Knicko is right, if you dont need the fixes and your system runs stabel you dont need to update. CCcam is just a Emu and not a OS the must be uptodate.

              I stay with 2.1.4 version.

I'm still trying do reverse decompile 2.3.0 version to check if there are the backdoor described in other post.

Till now I have not done yet.

              Has somebody decompiled the binary?
              If Yes, what software used?
I'm very confortable with delp*i and B*ilder language.

On every version of cccam you will have the problems with the NDS it will not be glitch free because it is a tricky type of encryption.

                      Re: should i update cccam

The last official release of Cccam was 2.2.1 as i have said previously the latest 2.3.0 until properly tested and verified its from the original team stay well clear of it and use an older version.

I think that problem/glitch depends on the server and number of subscribers using it at that moment. For example - in channels using *ds encoding system during 2 hours movie I have only 4-5 pixelations for 1 sec ( sometimes even zero problems ).

There's no need for users that use 2.3.0 to decompile the release since there are different ways to find out if there are exploits!!!
Like making Cccam.log files that are reporting every cam step.
I posted infos on how to make your own.
                            cheers m8

Ohh, btw, 2.2.1 ver is the best one way or the other. Hadu version 2.3.0 is reported having unauthorised uploads.
