The answers seem to vary. It is best for you to try it yourself. Try to get a sample cline then ask for a sample nline from the same server so that u could find out from your own end.

The Server speed and stability is more important than the diferent protokolls. I don't notice big differences.

newcamd works not worse than cccam
but you will need only 1 cline to get all the packages from server
and different n-line for every package

I agree with you besit clines are better than nlines to much trouble nlines with all the caids for different providers,

Lots of great reading, as I have just bought a TM5402 I am still left wondering which is better suited to my needs, I am on a fixed Astra 2 dish. My first pay line was a cccline and aside from acouple of very minor momentory freezes it has bee very good.

agree with your comments diggy about the spider box being good as a starter box, mainly for the chaps who wanted for gifts, myself it was for new hd tv purchase, i have a sub at present time until jan2013 on a (n/line) until that runs out will still keep plodding away with with this box. that gives me plenty time to brush up on all receivers on the market, such big a vareity now.

Agree that clines are very good. Personally I did not try Newcamd and the nlines but I don not think that they are better then the clines with cccam. Nlines are also more complicated for every package you need own nline, on cccam you need just one cline and they will open all of the packages.

I'm using both of them - cccam and newcamd ( for same server ). I can not find big differences between them - exept that I have a little bit less disconnections with newcamd. Also if you use mgcamd with your newcamd serever you can put only one line in newcamd.list file with this parameters ( CWS_MULTIPLE = “server name” “port numbers from:to ( for example 25000:25020 )” “username” “pass” 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server ) so you don’t need to write differend line for each card.

the chap that i sub from started with a c/line, then changed it to an n/line. did not notice any difference but i think it was something to do at his end, its for only one package thou. spanky right thou cccam opens many providers.

I see that you all agree that Clines are better but it depends on purpose.
If purpose is stability of specific channels and less freezing Newcamd is more dedicated then Cccam which if more mainstream, since Newcamd is using as you said one line for one provider it means that there's one card connected to it. My Cccam picked one newcamd card always with hop1 and it was the best for NDS system, with little or not freezing at all on free newcamd lines.

Interesting that all client N lines were on hop1, which meant that someone shared real cards.
Almost to forget that Ul. is 10 to 100 times larger for N then C lines. That is real measurable difference.

I think it all depends on the box you have. Spiders use NewCamd for best results. If you have an enigma based box be brave and use multics. you can find the latest revision in the other emu forum. I use it on both my Linux PC and my DM500. But then I love new cams and emus to try

Still didn't tried multics that we talked about..! Since I'm on the Alps at the moment and trying to get some skiing sessions. When i come back I'll try multics like you mentioned in PM!
