to be able to use newcamd this way (for example var/etc/cccam.cfg)

    Thank you
    /etc/var/CCcam.cfg

and you input the N Line like this e.g:

    Code:
    N: [B]HOST(DNS/IP)[/B] port user paswword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
and i think NewCamd works better using CCcam

      Re: Cccam n line

And don`t forget to set this in your cccam.cfg to run newcamd

      # should CCcam try to read and parse newcamd.conf for server connections
      # default is no (turned off)
      #
      NEWCAMD CONF : yes

yes if u use default cccam.cfg simply take away the hash mark
but if u use a clean cccam.cfg like i do with nothing in it only the cline
u have to add NEWCAMD CONF : yes in cfg

its all depending on the server

its all depending on the server

What i actually meant was its down to the receiver also as some work better with newcamd rather than cccam

              Re: Cccam n line

              For info:
N lines are for newcamd in pure CCCam

Then you can either use :
              Pure newcamd cam
              CCcam + newcs(connected to newcamd)
Pure CCcam with newcamd feature hardcoded.

                Re: Cccam n line

                I have a question

in many posts for newcamd servers i found that e.g.
port 3001 is for provider ***, port 5001 is for provider zzz

I have already connected with this line
                N: HOST(DNS/IP) 3001 username1 paswword1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

How to add a new N line for the other provider???
should i use the same username1 and paswword1 and change only the port???

                e.g.
                N: HOST(DNS/IP) 5001 username1 paswword1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

                Could someone help me?

                  @kalpkos

you use the same just you change the port for the other provider

                  N: HOST(DNS/IP) 3001 username1 paswword1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
                  N: HOST(DNS/IP) 5001 username1 paswword1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

But you can change the username thats nothing, you choose .

                    Re: Cccam n line

the ports are not the providers but the servers there host the cards

-Yes vimmers ,you have right! they are servers not providers , it's my mistake
I might that can cause conflict in server if the username remain the same

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm aware you just replace your C line with a converted N line, in CCam config .Tried it just couple of times and it worked, obviously must be an active N line

Using DCC FTP you go to the following directories:
In enigma 1, it goes (as you have put it).
                            /var/etc/cccam.cfg

In enigma 2, it goes to:
                            /etc/cccam.cfg

The N line simply goes under the C line.

If you want it to look for N line first, you can put them before the C line.

                            How fast are they?
It depends on the server and how many hops.

Simply install CCcam, and put your C line in CCcam.cfg.

You could convert the C line to a newcamd format starting with CW and use Newcamd, but some CCcam servers do not accept this.

They connect to one DNS like kalpikos.noip.biz
so it's logical to conclude that it is server, and if you have one username on more ports (servers) as concluded above it shouldn't have any problems.
In any case, that question was on my mind also, so I used different usernames just in case, and it's now glitch free hop1 on SkyUK as well as D+.
