Cardsharing question

Hello, I'm hoping someone can clear a couple of questions I have on cardsharing. I just installed a satellite disk to watch Chinasat 6B channels, I bought a clone dreambox dm500 and the vendor told me to look into cardsharing in order to watch paid channels like CCTV5 etc... Ok, here goes...

1) In order to do this cardsharing do I need to have a physical decoder card to watch CCTV5?

2)If not, how do I go about obtaining clines from users here so I can decode these channels? Reason I'm asking is because from all the articles I've read I get the impression that this cardsharing thing is for people ready have decoder cards and sharing this with others who have different decoder cards and does no welcome people like me who in a way is free loading off them? (I think that makes sense?)

or 3) my alternative theory is that cardsharing is kinda like peer-2-peer sharing on computers (bittorrent for example), so the decoding information is shared through the internet by everyone without a decoder card?

No you need a decoder like DM500 or similar with CCcam capabilities, all linux based decoders/receivers are having this feature.

There are some sites/forum like our which can provide you a cline for free.
The "standard" says you should have a card in your decoder in order to join another server and share the cards...
There are also some blogs and portals providing C and N lines but they are valid 24/48 hrs or 99% of the time, not working at all.

Search in our CCcam section for tutorials, there are some in stick written very well.

thanks for your answers, I have another question is you don't mind. I think I got the jist of how this works. I have a friend who's box is in a cardsharing group but the cline came with the dm500 he purchased and he is not paying anyone to receive the paid channels. So my question is, is it possible for him to reshare this with me by setting his dm500 as a server? if so how do i do that without using a linux pc?

also, i've read some where that some times resharing can get someone kick/banned from the group? is this true? i don't want to do something that might get my friend banned from the group and he wont be able to watch anything either.

the answer is easy.
The group from your friend allows in the F-linie, whether he can reshare the cards.
If this is not allowed there, it doesn ' t work.

he must apply one c and f linie in his cccam.cfg in his dm500 for you.
And you don ´ t needed a linux pc.
In your box must also a c and f - linie from your friend.

Get your friend to open a browser, and go to
http://DREAMBOX_IP:16001/shares

He should get a list similar to

Now look at the Uphops/Maxdown. If there are non-zero values in Maxdown, then your friend can re-share. If the values are zero, then you cannot re-share.

You would have to ask the administrator of the group.

hi tonybod, after checking my friend's box, the uphops/maxdown is smiliar to the one you showed me ie. 9 0. so does that mean his box cannot reshare since the second number is zero?

You can be banned from the CS server just if you use 2 clines from satlover forum if you use more then 2 clines, for examp. one from satlover and one from other you want be banned. Just don't share or post the clines to someone else who is not member of this forum.

Is it possible to share a C-Line from my box to another?
For example: I got a C-Line from some Pay per Line and i want to pass the Line or keys through to another box? I know i could be banned by the provider. Just want to know.

If a provider want to give you reshare rights then he will do it, if it is not giving you any, then of course it will ban you
