    How many clines

    Hello
    I have a dm500 running cccam214 and wondered how many clines from different sites I could use at once and is there any disadvantage in having too many.
    Thanks

    Hello, you can use an unlimited number of clines. If you have a good 2 -3 cline, I see no reason to use more ...

        Re: How many clines

        You can use more than 1,2 or 3 but you should filter CAID-s. Use best cards from one server and use other cards from other server.
        Example:
        C: www.***.com 15106 user1 pass1 no { 0:0:1, 91f:0:3,963:0:3 }
        C: www.yyy.com 15256 user2 pass2 no { 0:0:1, 604:0:3,0500:022550 }
        ........
        In this way you will have best cards and minimized network traffic.

          Could you expand on filter CAID-s. What would be the best cards and how do I tell. Is it in cccam info pages.
          thanks

            Re: How many clines

            You can add a lot of CAID-s in filter for one server.
            Example:
            { 0:0:1, 91f:0:3,....,963:0:3,........, 100:68,............. }
            With 0:0:1 you will have all local cards on server( hope 1)
            with 963:0:3 you will have all cards till hope 3 for Sky UK.

            You should use cards with smaller hope and server with small ping time.
            And you can read hope for every card in CCcam info page.

                Have a look in cccam.cfg, it is pretty well commented with plenty of examples of how to block CAID/PROV_ID etc.

                The CAID/PROV_ID can be seen via the web interface for cccam.

                  Re: How many clines

                  I can get the clines down to 3 easily but in CCcam info pages I am getting two newcamd servers showing, one on 127.0.0.1:11000. In CCcam.cfg that address appears in line
                  N: 127.0.0.1 11000 dummy dummy 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14.
                  What is it and can I delete it.
                  My CCcam.cfg has 600 other entries all with an # before each line, do I need them too.
                  Its a bit of a struggle but I am progressing with your appreciated help.

                      127.0.0.1 is the actual receiver itself (all computers have this, I cannot remember exactly what it's called something like the loopback or something, try pinging it from your PC (your PC will reply)). If you have something like newcamd running, you need to connect cccam to it, this is the line that does that.

                      The "#" indicates a comment, leave them in for now as most of it is useful information.

                            In my Cline, my premium (paid) server is 0:0:2, but on the Info menu it says Hops: 1....
                            Can I actually change that 0:0:2 to 0:0:1 or I don't need to since it says Hops 1? I mean, does the server allow things like that?
                            Is that filter for making a channel open faster or?
                            And - from where do you know these CAID's ?

                            Can I use the DigiTV CAID on satlover's free server?

                              I have had the same issue, my advice is use 3 servers to the max otherwise if your processor is slow it takes time to connect and freezings happen.

                              i am using a satellite box yumatu mersat which is an older version, maybe the fancy dreamboxes dont face the same problem. but from the other post where i asked the same question 2-3 seemed to be the consensus

                              good luck
