A question about your experience.

How many clines in the .cfg gives the best result?
Searchiung for this theme brings these answers:

- only one, best concentration on the server
- two is better because backup-chance
- three gives the best performance
- four is the best (or: more is always better...)
- not to many lines, it slows down the box
- depends on the box
- ...

What are your real experiences?

Of course all depends on the box and how fast is.
I think that the best way is to use 3-4 good lines.
Using more than 4 lines you will have a lot of delay openning a channel.

I have had up to 6 lines in the past and found no issues, I would always say that one good line is better than several mediocre lines though.
My guess is that more than 6 or 7 lines could start to cause issues, but I have read of people using up to 10 lines with no reported issues.

You can work with cccam.info plugin and different cccam. cfg with one Cline. You can create as many cfg's as you military\need in var\etc next to original cfg and switch between them

The less, the better.
Normally client sticks with cline that have shorter ecm, but it is not always true.
The best would be to have only one cline, pointing to a very stable and fast server.
If a backup server is available, it should be activated only manually, so that unnecessary switching to the backup server would never happen.

Following Runmo's post, I am trying Cccam info 1.3 for Enigma2.

The question is in case you have more than 1 cline:

1) does the order count?
2) does the version of the cccam emulator count?

I have had over 40 clines on my vu+ duo at times and its worked fine.

It was probably overkill and I have weeded out most of the non productive lines.

...i have 3, but if i have more, i find conflictions, especially with hd chns.

What conflictions? They disturb each other or the ecm-requests go to the same node.id (sometimes different servers/clines use the same cards)?

I do a bit testing at the moment with 2 up to 6 lines, mostly "normal" freelines with cccam 2.011. It switches between the lines (if it has connection) from first to second, third line etc. if one line doesn't answer fast enough. Sometimes I have connection to all 6 lines (shown in webinterface) but if a request starts the connection cancels.

One line with good servers is better from 20 lines with slow connections and hop3+.That will slow down your box with many freezes.Cccam always use the line with best ping,but you can use ccam prio or ignore to corect

personal opinion: I only use satlover clines, and mostly use only 1 cline at the same time - I get more 'scrambled channel' with more active clines (different server). Box is only client box, so can only check number of cards and nothing else ...

In my opinion, with the Payser*ers, the best is to use a lot of cl*nes of the same server. Using more than one server cause many delays.

I used to experiment to 10 not very good clines to view channels from the same package, but still were freezing, so it is better to use one good cline.

ok, but very important: always inform/check if you're allowed to use more clines from the same server!!

i think its how good are your clines and not how many. its all about quality as everything else. if you have a poor cline you need more but if you have a great cline then why use more than 2? (second just in case)

I think it down to the box as well i use satlovers clines and use 2 n lines as well and have no problems
