Ok, if you want to try go in to the system. You need to get an ftp client in order to communicate over ftp with your receiver. Download filezilla which is a free and very good ftp program. Then enter your receiver ip adress in to the program(it is easy or you just tell us) and hit connect. Then you will either go straight in or you will need username/password. Try it out and give feedback on hwo it went for ya

I think if we can resolve this issue i will create a pdf with pictures showing how you can access your receiver from your wireless connection. this should be helpful to everyone.

sop guys unless you are using a computer tv card, how do you install/update satlover servers to your remote satellite receivers?

just to make sure the ftp address starts like

      192.***.x.xx

or is there htp at the beginning

I am getting this error message

Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Could not connect to server

      no password asked

What's the port you tried to connect to ?
Looks like the port is open and accepting connections but it's not an ftp port.
Try also to change settings of your ftp client (passive / active mode).

If you can telnet to your box you have total control (can see open ports, active daemons etc)
        Code:
        telnet 192.168.***.***

just to make sure, where do i write telnet + the ip of my server?

it seems like a code to me but is it just telnet:192.168.ip in ftp program or a browser?

You write it in the command prompt of your windows pc (must be connected in the same network of your receiver !)

              telnet 192.168.***.***

You are not doing anything wrong, but, and a big but

As i believe this is close source box(ALI chipset) it is very unlikely that they have enabled ftp on the receiver. Default ftp port is 21, but if ftp is allowed on your receiver then it might be another port.

Mate, I hope you changed "192.168.***.***" with the real ip of your receiver !

Then, "on port xx" ... was xx 23 ?
Just to be sure you are telneting on the right port.

                    Re: CCcam, OScam or both

Ok, so last resort to check if you can manage your receiver with a pc is a "port scan".
You need a program to run in your computer such as nmap (free) or other that checks in a few minutes all tcp/ip ports of the receiver.
I am afraid you will find only port 80 open (web interface).
                    Scan and report here.
                    Bye

Yes you were right, i got port 80 open only. what should i do next? do you guys think it is best to leave my box as it is instead of trying to change the software to decrypt bulcypt?

                        Re: CCcam, OScam or both

Not much you can do ...
Only port 80 opens means you can setup your receiver only by webinterface or by remote control.
I don't know this receiver but maybe there is an alternative firmware that gives you more chances.
                        Bye

                            hi

best reviews are on the db's and the vu+'s - or a clone if you'll take the risk - that's not so easy to say and has been discussed a lot before (search for best reveiver or clone - results are http://www.satlover.eu/forum/satelli...-receiver.html, http://www.satlover.eu/forum/search.php?searchid=781344, http://www.satlover.eu/forum/dreambo...box-clone.html, http://www.satlover.eu/forum/vu-duo/...-or-clone.html - there's also a GigaBlue ...)
