    Cline checkers

Hi does anyone know whether it is safe to use a cline checker such as cardsharing.info/ It seems a great option, but I have concerns that they could re-share any working lines.

Don't use these "cline checkers" because they are "cline thieves"

You can check a line by your self from your cccam.

If you just want to check that the cline connects or not, you can use telnet:
          Code:
          telnet <address> <port>
replace <address> and <port> with the cline address and port you would like to test.
Of course, you won't log into the server, but you can just check if it is connecting or not.

I thought that might be the case. Please would somebody give me the simple way to ping an ip? The only way I know is with a Dos window!! (Oldskool!!)

The only safe way to check is to put the line in your cccam.cfg and use your receiver.
Do it with only 5 or 6 lines simultaneously.
Open the cccam web-interface and watch: servers

You see if the line connects.

With shares and providers you can test the rest of the line.

i think knap, members answer your question, i would not trust them, just use your own box to test, thats what i did couple years ago.

Sure, this is the best way for checking cline, but a little more time consuming.

From any web browser, browse to this address:

                  Code:
                  http://<ip>:16001/servers
Replace <ip> with the ip of your box

Mate, this is mostly for dreambox and some other linux receivers. Also there is not static port but dynamic that you can change from cccam.cfg

Yes, 16001 is the default web interface port.
If no other one is specified in the cccam.cfg file, this one will be used, which is the case most of the time.

More simply: use cccaminfo plugin directly on your box. You will recite a lot of info on cline: cards, providers, shares and more.
