Hi there im a noob, just got myseld a skybox f3, after putting in the ccam cfg what shud i do?? how do i setup the satellite?

i have added the cccam.cfg from the free files, but what do i do after that?? theres no satelie added in my list.

erm ok the dish is an old dish which is pointed to our local sat (measat 3)
question1 how do i know if the lines in this forums supports.
question2 if i were to use those sat that is supported in the lines from this forum, how do i go about on setting it up on the skybox? as i dun think using the config file will tune the satelite units on the F3.. sorry guys im really lost here hahaha....

What satellite do you want to setup and have you put one of satlovers free lines in the CCcam.cfg

How did you add the cline, with remote or usb?
If you did it by usb make sure your CCcam.cfg is named correctly and is not a .txt file.

So, do you have connection to satlover server or not (should be something like 'connected with *** cards')?
Or is the installation of the dish + setup the problem? Are the fta channels ok? Please a bit more info if you mean something else

Well it might just be a matter of trying a few different lines then, but only 1 at a time.
The server you have access to is very busy so you might need to try a few until you find one that works

have a look at the tutorials on this site (under Openbox) they're quite good and should be able to answer your questions. If you have any more questions after that please feel free to ask.

(incidentally, there are some good tutorials on ******* if you do an Openbox/F3 search)

Ok now it's starting to come together. Most of the users on here are European, so i'm not sure satlover clines will open measat 3. It's well out of my range anyway, but hopefully someone on your side of the world can confirm or deny.
Otherwise see if you can get a test line from a pay server that opens measat 3, so you can check that it's all working.

as said by toby: do some reading here ; beasically I think you should first try to get your setup right (box - dish - scan channels) and make sure the free channels (fta) come in with good signal and quality ; when you're sure about this you can start playing with clines ; ok, they will be with freezes on server 3 (as you have few posts), but you should get an idea of what's open on this sat with satlover servers.

Go to the
*Menu
*Installation
*Satellite list
have a look if your desired satellite is already listed, If not then use the coloured keys on your remote to add your satellite. Its easy as the Keys would tell you what to do Next. You just need to put satellite name and its location eg
Satellite name: Hotbird
Location: 13E
and save
after saving, you can scan the satellite from the scan menu by keeping the LNB frequency universal or whichever high value you like.
It should work
