sharing is now for a time...
i have a question about s.k card
i know it is possible to activated hd on this

so i need help on this..

i do not have de orignale receiver anymore
but i do have a card who works but only normal,, with out hd
so is it possible for me to active hd on this card?

I don't think its possible to use one SD package card to watch HD channels on it. It will need to be activated from the provider. You will need to talk to the provider and ask them for help. You can pair sly cards in other receivers but they will receive only the channels they are programmed for.

The only way to have it work is to have sky branded hd box then you would have been able to pair the card to the box otherwise you are out of luck.

Usually, SAT providers have two types of set top boxes, receivers, decoders.
One for SD channels and another for SD+HD broadcastings. Other SAT providers have restrictions to use a different set top box because the decryption system is associated to the receiver device, so only is possible watch HD channels if you have an official branded box.
So on, some providers broadcasts SD through a Sat and HD by another different satellite.
The decrypter cards, sometimes are differents too for SD or HD broadcasts.
To watch HD TV you must have a HD decoder and your provider must give you all the tools you need to implement.
Another option is buying a HD PCsat receiver with CI+ pcmcia, then you will watch HD TV without an official branded receiver.

I think your out of luck on this one if you do not have a sly hd box you cannot upgrade the card to hd the signal has to be sent from sly to the box and they will need the serial number of the box so they can paired the card and box together
