    would old client cause problems

    hi can any body tell me if i had say over a period of 2 years i have had say 30 clients and i have removed from my server for one thing or another if the clients didnt remove my cline and i just removed there nline could this cause me haveing high ecm when i am trying to watch tv i meen high ecm my end

    yes they still try to connect
    i think you shall block them in your router
    but i have newer being a server so i am not sure
    but i am a client on a server and often get news from him
    that he cleaned the server and blocked the ips

      im new to all this as many of you know but am learning by the bucket load thanks to the great help of many off here, i paid a cline last year ( the irish channels on sly) once the time i paithe server switched to the line off, but every so often it comes back on , can any one please advise me why this happens, im not complaining by the way

        spannersmannercos the server haven't deleted your fline
        and you causing workload on the server
        you should delete it

              The easiest thing to do would be to change the port number for your current clients, you old ones maybe able to ping your dydns address but thats about it, if that does not cure it then a change of DYDNS maybe in order.

                blocking the ips would be not helpfull some of the clients could have dynamic ips.
                So like digicon says changing the port or dyndns would be the best solution.

                  best way is like "digicon" says, change port if that is not helping change dns name and delete the current one!

                  blocking IP's is totaly unusefull since the most of us have dynamic IP's like "locan" already says!

                  most routers have QOS, use that to lower ecm time on your receiver when heavy data trafic is used by other PC's or Game consoles.
