Re: How many servers should I add for optimum speed

I used to do the same in CS childhood. Searching the internet and finding free lines. I always kept 7 slots active, 1 line from satlover and other 6 from all over the world. Got lots and lots of rebooting problem. I resolved the rebooting problem by using JUST 1 line and emptied the remaining slots.

1 good stable line is ample, you can always leave it off until perhaps you need it.
thats why for mr satlovers premium users get 2 lines, one for back-up if needed.

Re: How many servers should I add for optimum speed

that is really good to know. before when i used to have 6-7 boxes open my yumatu would reboot itself without pressing anything. never knew that the reason was having all those boxes full with servers from all over. At one point i started to be paranoid if someone from those servers was actually punishing me since i was using the clines for free.

But in short in old machines having 6-7 servers at the same time might put extra burden on the digital receiver and cause it to reboot itself. After switching to satlover I never had that problem.

just goes to show then, mr satlovers site, best on the web, if you do some c-line thief hunting you will see many sites that members tally is rubbish, take a look at the members tally here, approaching 50,000, that says it all.
          thanks all staff.

Because you are using only 1 cline (Forum Rules)

Mr Satlover suggests not to zap too quickly as it take about 10 seconds for channel to open.

back to topic, so noobs that all come on here can have a chance of a decent free line, just how like we all did, but only 1 line from 1 server for each.
And as a noob don't ever think of puting the lines on other site as we have strict rules and much more STRONGER team. They will CATCH you, they will REPORT you and they will BAN you........FOREVER...

                      For the original topic:

personal experience - 3 working c-lines gave the best result in the last month. More caused freezes.

Surely you do not leave all the lines switched on all of the time ? I have tried the odd line from other servers but I always switch off my Satlover lines when testing.

                        Regards Mobley3

I have 3 lines active. I have a sly uk line, 1 multisat line and satlover server 2 as backup.
I have configured the satlover and multisat line to ignore sly uk, as this is an almost faultless server. I very rarely have any trouble at all and should 1 line go down I always have backup.

There isn't a right number for every situation, it depends from a lot of things...
Anyway I prefer one good than a lot worse, they give you only problems:
                            1) CCcam slowdown.
                            2) Possible conflicts between cards, that can only be fixed with complicated option at the end of the line.
                            3) Sometimes it's even better only one server with a few cards on it, with hop 1...that's optimum

All three lines are switched on, but sometimes they lose connection to the "overloaded" server. But with three active lines you have the best chance to get the necessary controlword in time. Satlover is one of the lines, the others are backup.
Ok, sometimes even this doesn't help.
