wich is the best router/modem for cs server?

Hello,
I have a debian server working with cccam. Lastly I've noticed that, after some hours I get very high ping for my peers, if I do reset the router the problem is solved, but I have to do it once or twice a day.
My router is a SMC 7908.
Now i want to change it, wich is the best router ? Somebody toldme to buy a linksys.
Any advice?

i'm also interested to know what is the best / price for a route adsl

I think that "because it is very popular" it is not a reasonable justification to buy it.

Can i configure it for special purpouse that make it so popular?

What type of connection do you use? If wireless, which makes it a problem of interference.

No Wireless, is wired connexion, ethernet . Any idea? I think the problem is the router cos some time ago was running perfect, and the problem has increased with the time.

Do you use ADSL?

Anyway, i think is not a router fault, 99% is a problem from your ISP's huge traffic or bad peering!

If you have an ADSL connection, try to double check wiring or to replace copper wires with new ones if they are older than 3-4 years.

I have two local cards, one seca running on a vu plus the second one is on the debian server with a N3 card and smargo reader .
The problem is only with the N3 card, seca card is not afected, so, do you Still think is an ISP problem? why problem disappear for some hours when reseting the router?
