As all things in the universe every beginning has end and every end has a new beginning. So don't worry there allways be a new solution. This is the law of the nature.

Re: Is card sharing nearing its end?

the problem at the moment is that most packages are choosing to have their own receivers with the card so card sharing is not possible on such packages at the moment ..

besides that this will cost the companies a lot of money because they need to update all their infrastructure i think ..

but with so many people in this hobby of satellites i think that new solutions will be out from time to time .. so lets hope for the good!!

besides that there's always some cool stuff of FTA channels ..

I think that in next 5 years almost 95% channels will be down on CS, but I also think that future od "free" TV is on online streaming...

That's right. The good thing is that not every provider can do this due to
huge expenses needed for this update.

I see the future in a similar manner - but heading off in a different direction.
Agreed most services will the data based across the internet. Streamed TV feeds, Music, even typical voice communications such as telephone and mobile phone calls will all more to data based.
As for CS, as this moving to "stream sharing" (or more accurately Stream Re-Sharing). Where the stream is incepted from the original providers box and rebroadcast as a new outgoing data stream (possibly just the control words and if that cant be achieved the entire decypt data stream).
Dislikes the Chinese Openbox Receivers, so much..

don't forget you have Bittorrent/warez as backup. so you will always be entertained no matter what happens to card sharing. bittorrent/warez will last forever. if the card encryption changes I reckon it will only take about a month or so for solution. they will fix it with a new release of cccam emu.

I dont think so, for e.g: Digitalb on 16e has own receivers(KAON receivers) and cards ,just for those receivers .But its working perfectly on CS !

Digitalb HD doesnt work on CS. Evan if it does, it work on few servers so fix is not public...

I hope not soon. I've just stepped into the sat scene from cable. I hope there are many years of cheaper viewing. And this new eu ruling allowing for cheaper football rights to pubs (if they show eu brodcasts) should bring the price of legit subs down.

Ok, but have there been long viewing interruptions due card changes?

When a door closes, a window will stay open ... IMHO as long as there are a few hobbyists out there it will not die. I agree with what some previous posters said about cards married to recievers - there will be eventually ways around it.
