    One line for one user

    One line for one user

    Never give one line to multiple users, It will not be useful for the user and will add unnecessary load to server.
    Lines can also be assigned to specific ip address as well. This will add security to the server and lines you provide to the server users.
    e.g
    F: username password 2 1 1 { } { } { } ip.address
    in this example user can only connect from specified ip address only

    You should never assign a single ip to a line because most people's ip is dynamic and changes frequently. It will not be practical.

        Yes it is true, the problem would also change the Internet provider and the associated change of IP addresses.

            Most of the people have static ip,its the best with regard to dm500s you dont have to check your ip every time that you need to connect to your box.

                C: user.dyndns.org 11000 cllient up22on no { 0:0:2 }
                F: username password 3 0 0 { 0:0:2 } user.dyndns.org

                  Maybe so, but what about the rest who don't? That means they could never use c lines again if for instance, a power cut was to happen, and reset the modem...

                    Yes they have but they are very expensive in my contury, and cost a lot of money to have a static IP address. For this money that we pay we only get a dynamic IP address.

                      most people use dynsdns acount or something similar and that you can make only that dynsdns acount conect to that paticular cline with you fline as it show in post at the begining
                      you dont need a fixed ip or dynds account if you are only useing clines from other servers fixed ip or dynds acount only needed to share you cline with some one else
