I have a Vu+duo and clone dm800 and clone dm500. i don't know if it is because they are clone but i really like a lot more the Vu+duo box for sure. it is really stable and quick.

Yes, I am getting more and more tempted to get one of these primarily because I want to tidy up my living room and have as much in one box as I can.

SAT/Terrestial/Media Center (mp3, avi, divx. mkv), upscaler.

It looks to me like the Duo can do all of this and more but the AZbox also boasts ability in this area.

So I am still looking hard.

No dougth that dream box are best receivers, the reason for that is that they are avialable on different flavours, widly supported, friendly prices, many clones available, and turial can be find any were

Dreambox 8000HD is the best receiver but very expensive
The most balanced choice i think is a dm500hd original

Best recievers are DreamBox 800HD ,DreamBox 8000HD, VU+ DUO after some surveying in the web.

I got a openbox S10 recently. As as time has gone on, i'm wishing I had got a slightly better box. The openbox is good, it is just lacking certain firmware support the dreambox has. The openbox is a very affordable box though, and would recommend it to anyone on a budget!

my next box will deff be a dream800, there is so much praise for these, its sometimes like in the past you start with a small dish and end up buying bigger, must start saving and most importantly learning

Most of the boxes on the market maybe clones, but it doesn't mean they will be any more unreliable. Take the nintendo ds cartridges, nearly all of the ones available these days are clones, but actually these clones have made more of a name for themselves and progressed out of being just exact 1:1 clones.

If the truth be known, probably the parts that make up the original and clones all come from the same factory.

Best boxes are from Dream multimedia, thats no questions about it. But I can say that HD-Box FS-9200 is good aswell, stable, twin tuner, client-server no problem. I Can recommend.

i'd definitely go with a Vu. budget should only determine which version of the Vu you get but if you're really looking for a purchase you won't regret.
