I think this debate can go on for ages ,
if you are low on budged you can always use a clone, which works similar to dreambox
but if money is no problem , the Dreambox is the best there is ...

Re: Which recever is the best

A clone is in no way better then the Origianal , Clones do seems to packup very fast, but sometimes you get a batch which works great if you are lucky,
but original is always better ...

Had my 800 clone for nearly 3 years now and it works a charm.

It not only performs as well & and is as featured as the original but I only paid 30% of the price of the original.

All Dreamboxes are made in the PRC. Even the "real" ones. Get used to it. China has become the new capital of the technological world. So reach for your little red books.

My last DM clone went pop on me after 14 months, but it served me well , & that basically went coz the surge protector didn't work properly ,
so clones do seem to have a good life too..... apart from the onces in STAR WARS

Vu+duo is an amazing linux box, specs are great faster , plus it has almost equal support as the dreambox, plus they are cheaper then the Dreambox, very stable with the correct image.

I'm happy with my clone... yes is true, works like a charm, even it has his thermal problems, and I haven't say that is better than an original b'cause I haven't buyed yet an original - I opened an economical issue - if this will broke I'll buy another one and still cost me 30% less than 1 original... for this reason really I'm satisfied - and don't understand me wrong - I'm not a cheap consumer - but if you open a box you'll see that counting the price of the internal components - at buyer level, not industrial one - you'll see that the whole amount is less than 45€, so the price of the box is multiplied by 8x... and the case and the PSU don't raise so much the price..
