    searching for cardserver software

    Hi,
i will build my own cardserver and so i'm searching for a good software. Here are the facts:
    1. the cardserver must run on a debian-based linux on a amd/64 server.
    2. it shoukd have a webif.
    3. it must be able to handle some usb readers (smargo).
    4. it should be able to handle more than 100 clients.
    5. it should have a loadballancing for c/n-lines.
    6. it will be nice to have the source code to compile it on my owne server.

If anyone has experience or knowledge which such servers, please tell me what software i should use.

          Hi skytec,
i have tested it, the 32bit binaries of cccam don't run on a 64bit system.

            Hi Zyk,
yes oscam is fine. I use it as client on my dm8000. It is much better (stable) then cccam. I have compiled it on my amd/64 and it runs well but there is a knockout: it can handle only 16 entries in the configfile, so if you configure 17 readers/lines it crashes on startup. So oscam is also no solution for me.

              Hi Zyk,
i have reported this bug, but got no answer. Atm i have no time to check the sources or debug the oscam. So i hope in the next releases it will be solved. But there a lot of more bugs if you want to use oscam as server. It seems that it can handel only round 30 clients. As a client only oscam is superbe but as server it will not work fine.

Why ? for your load it works just fine in x86 version

Ubuntu x86 + CCCam + multiple Smargo readers will work just fine with loads up to 150-200 of clients on a new PC

PCSC based readers could also be a headach even in ubuntu server, so it will be much better to avoid this ones. Smargo works ok and it is easy to install and compatible with all cams, as far as i know
