    Re: bluetooth connections

Hi you have to remember that Bluetooth is only a short range transmitter it does not have the distance of wifi.

      Hi thecrazybandit, Hi fandm

Maybe @fandm is right that the bluetooth it's not wi-fi, but the project of @thecrazybandit can be realized with bluetooth.

The only you can do is to find the appropriate application because not every app can do this.

I made a quick search on the net and I found many cases that people are using more than 2 bluetooth headphones.
Unfortunately I didn't manage to find the name of an application

        Re: bluetooth connections

I don't think that is possible, depending on the make of your bluetooth speakers. (Would have to support bluetooth multicast connections)

Alternatively you could buy a Raspberry Pi and number of Bluetooth USB adapters, and program it to connect to your phone and speakers individually, using Raspberry Pi as streaming server? This would require a lot of programming though.

I know Apple used to allow you to do this with iTunes, Airplay and multiple Airport Expresses, but obviously not for Android!

Yes you are right it has not got the range of wifi but bluetooth seems to be used on apple products but i am surprised that android has not developed a app to to connect 2 speakers

Is this not due to a limitation in the Bluetooth protocol though? Although multicast is mentioned in the official bluetooth spec I haven't seen any consumer devices actually implementing it. Speakers would be an ideal application for this.

                bluetooth connections

There are known bluetooth connection issues with Escort Live and Android 8 most probably what your Galaxy S8 Plus is using. We have an app update coming soon which should solve these bluetooth connection issues.
