i want to buy a HD receiver and i'm still confused ... but recently i limited my choice on 3 : DM 500 hd , AZbox(any) , VU+(any)
please help to make the good choice !!

I have same question for good linux HD receiver with reasonable price but (single tuner). By the way what is the price of DM800 se?

I've Azbox Elite, it is sold like single tuner but it has a second slot for an additional tuner. At moment it is the ONLY receivers that allows full HD resolution (1080p) all others are 1080i (HD ready). Azbox is linux receiver but uses his own firmware, but now The_ripper is developing Enigma 2 also for this receiver. At moment Enigma 2 is in starting state, I mean is not complete firmware, but progresses are running quickly day by day. Finally the price, it is sold around 230 euros and is not a clone! And it is sold by Opensat, european company. I suggest to read also about Azbox so to consider it too.

I have a similar problem as Anaconda, but I prefer the Dreambox support and quality, as is said Satman72 about resolution and is now put me in thinking, before his post I decided to buy a DM 500 HD.
If it means something to you then my advice to buy or DM 500 HD DM 800 HD SE.

Watch out Felipevianna, 800HD is going to be replaced by new version named DM800SE, you can find more info into our DM800 section.

I had VU+ duo now for 3 months, its the greatest thing since slice bread bit expensive but good buy, i would recommend
