Suggestion for IPTV section

Good day. How about getting an IPTV section on our forum? Members opinion....admin opinion....satlover opinion...?

IPTV is already quite popular and serval software salutions can be used today for making a personal IPTV-Server and I hope there wil be much more in the future!

I personal like the ROKU3 but it is not available for buying here in Europe at the moment

I would like to see an IPTV section on our forum.
I'm sure that there are people with a big knowledge in this technology
and it would be nice if they could shared it with us.

It will be nice to learn more about iptv but i think Mr Satlover is trying to keep the forum up with just the necessary sections.

Just a suggestion, Instead of having an IPTV section, why not have XBMC which cover a wide range of new possibilities. It will attract more people to the forum.

i search a few days ago about XBMC but didnt find the info i needed. maybe the new section could have more options than one.

Just a suggestion, Instead of having an IPTV section, why not have XBMC which cover a wide range of new possibilities. It will attract more people to the forum.

Not a bad idea, but IPTV is a section for it self. XBMC is more like a media player and a way to organize multimedia content and how to show it. But i see no problem of having XBMC if that is a suggestion but it will be up to satlover team to decide if XBMC fit in our forum as sat technology forum...

I'm fully agree with duhoki that XBMC is mediaplayer related and IPTV is another area.

Although XBMC is very interesting also!

It is not just media player I used Xbmc to stream live sport (sly sport 1 etc..) there
are 100's of channels that can be streamed on it as well as catchup services
like bbc iplayer, 4od,hula etc..

The only downside that I had with xbmc was that it had to run in the foreground
on my my pc when streaming to my t.v, but I don't think a separate section is
needed for it, if we give a separate section then you would have to give
separate section for plex, serviio etc.. which are also servers (media centers)
which can stream ip content.

At the moment I use plex an offshoot of xbmc, less configurable than xbmc
but runs in the background when I am streaming to t.v.
