[Suggestion] Time between posts

Hello,

i realize that there must be a certain amount of time between each post. My suggestion is that the time between posts is lower for members with more posts.

We hve to wait 600 seconds between each post, which for me is ok, but have to agree that some time it is really geting me crazy.... This have ben discused before and it would have ben great if some mods could give any answear for if this is something we can do or just to forget it.

This is nice one.
Let's say, 250+ posts equals 200secs less which is 400 secs.
500+ posts equals 200secs less which is 200 secs.
And it stays to 1000 posts from which it's let's say 100 secnds or alike!!??

Nice idea. Totally agree with that.
If it's not achievable, wthell... as elders say, patience is a virtue!

No offence but, I think the idea of "More posts, less waiting time" would not work and in one way it will not be fair with the noobs. Sometime they want to read and apply whatever they have learnt. The 600 seconds wait time is a lot but it gives a chance to browse the through the forum otherwise people would just stick to one thread all the time which will just Kill the origional thread. (Personal opinion). The quality of the thread would get low!!

I am writing this reply, having had to wait 600 seconds as I just replied to someone else.
There have been times where I've had to wait and simply forgotten to reply once my 600 seconds has passed.
I agree. Hope we can do something
Maybe even leave it up to admins discretion. If someone starts abusing it, revoke it and make them wait 600 seconds again.

Is the 600 second rule so that the moderator can check it first? or does it not get passed by anyone and just published. I thought the rules on using the forums would of covered censorship and therefore wouldnt need any rules about time. if it was unappropiate you would be banned from using the forums anyway. I might be totally wrong but seems logical.

I do not have enough posts and i understand the logic behind the 600sec waiting rule but i think it would be useful if more experiences users are allowed to post more frequently. I think many inexperienced users like me gain a lot of knowledge from postings of senior members of the server.

Totally agree with vanbasten, Especially if you a trying to solve an imediate problem and are panicing a bit, Which i have done on several occasions you latch on to a certain user that seems to know what they are talking about but end up taking a lot of advice from different people because the response is to slow due to waiting time on the forum.

I posed a question regarding this matter (a few weeks ago, don't know exactly in which topic), but the reply I got was very clear: nothing will be done.
Can live with that, mostly no problem, but sometimes it can take long.

Thats why we have got the PM facility. You are always welcome to send a PM to a member and i think they wont mind that. this way you can follow one member.

Is there a 600 second delay on that or is it instant if the other person decides to respond? I never thought of using PM, always feel cheeky for some reason.

Time between posts is taken staff decission and will stay this way for all members.
And if it would be adapted in future, it will also be general rule for all members.
You have the pm function that you can use at any moment.
