I wish to answer to all about post deletions.
Mods and admin can or better MUST delete posts if those are against board rules.
To check and delete posts requires time and no one do it for his pleasure!
No one of mod's staff delete posts choosing users but we only watch if post is in rules according!
For each post deleted users receive an automatic messages that reports:
1) deleted post
2) reson of deleting
3) name of mod that has deleted your post
So if you've reasones to discuss about an unjustified delete, you can contact mod and show him your reasones.
For my experience the reasones of deleting mostly are:
1) live link posted
2) posts with files or link without any comment
3) posts with, or without files, posted yet

So take care when you post and no one your post will be deleted.

i think we are talking about old post that are deleted after a long time, they are considered as useless therefore they were usefull at the posting time

Server don't has unlimited space, so after time old posts not more usefull can be deleted to save space for new posts.

i understand we need to save space but it can be done without affecting user's posts number as it was said previously by a script...

Hello to all moderators of this forum. You can try to delete all uploads, but dont delete post. So is it in other forums with old posts.

Post deleting hasn't effects on your status, if you've had 600 posts and was into server 1 account, it will still also if your counter will decrease.
Has no sense to delete just attachments then the post is useless.
This is not a match where you must win collecting goals, so relax if you see your post number a bit decreased.
@miri89 a message is autogenerated by server and sended to user when someone delete your post, if you don't receive it this means post wasn't deleted by mod but lost by server for a problem.

Luezim i have a question, about your older posts, when you were spaming with LIVE LINKS all the forum, what do you think about those ?, as far i can tell all of them are breaking the rules, it shouldn't be deleted ?, look a little at your older posts when you reapeatly was breaking the rules by posting live links.

Supergertl, Miri89 i think we had this PM talking recently, about Live Links.

And about the author, i am a little confused, what author, that you copied from or you ?

satlover offers free lines, many euro´s worth,
and what do members with about 4000 postings : they complain

everybody who cannot live with this board and these board rules can quit his membership and can look elsewhere where he can find such a great benefit, without costs

so gentlemen, please think about what you are talking here,
the board crew is able to delete everything,
also an always complaining and other members and board-peace instigate membership

You should read the rules, read them again and give them more attention. And again and again until you get it or just look at the links posted by experienced users and you'll start to understand

yeas its true we talk about by PM, but in this morning two of my posts are deleted, so i write here to tell you and others stuff that whats happend ,why are deleted my posts and i have no PM with reason of this. Now i learn from mod. satman72 that sometimes is posts lost by server for a problem.
Now already have the 2 posts, i think that really was problem of server.

Is not a problem at all, most surely is from movings in the forum, it could be from:

1. Double posting discovered during threads merge or threads moving.

2. Useless posts discovered during sorting

3. In some way hardly breaking the rules

And of course not necessary intentionally made by you, but being in the above categories they had to be deleted.

I will make my last post after luezim answers, and by concluding with that answer i will end my postings here because i have the filling this is becoming a useless polemic

Just break the link with _ "underscore" in the beginning
For example post an external link like this
_http://www.example.com

thats a better answer than a pm which doesnt clear the rule breaking post
