You just need to download files and antivirus automaticly scan files, and there is no need to scan files who are linked to author.

If you download ProgDVB then you download it from official page so realy there is small chance to be infected.

I think itīs a good idea, but I use real time file scanning.

also some antivirus don't "make their job right" that why,for being more secured
you can use online virus scanner it's more performance

Ok, if we all agree, I think that if it would be almost obligated to write "scanned with "x" antivirus" when we upload a file to the board. If you think good, any administrator or moderator can add this tip to the rules of the forum, because we know that we have scanned the file, but do not know what the others. If it seems right, I suggest someone tell it to Mr. Satlover or someone who can add this item to the rules.
Is only a suggestion, only I want to colaborate.

yes but many people upload the files to a fileshare
like rapidshare/hotfile and so on
we cant check those files before we download them

It are very good ideas, but I don't know how it would be possible to controle that attachement effectively has been scanned. Someone could easely write : scanned by *** antivirus, but has it really been done?
Most antivirus scan realtime, so the chance a virus infected file is put on the website is little. And not all files are direct downloads. There are more downloadlinks posted.
But once again it's a interesting thread, thx for the input

there is method by using virustotal online scan .... you can do it before launch the application
