1. Install an image using a USB memory stick. See here...

2. Follow the installation wizard to set-up the basic settings. Don't bother doing a scan at this point, choose to do it manually later.
3. Connect to a network.
Connect a cat-5 ethernet cable from the LAN port on the VU+ to your router.
Run the Network Wizard by entering Menu-->Setup-->System-->Network.
4. Now use Dreamboxedit (which you will need to download to your pc) to transfer the appropriate settings/bouquets from your pc to the VU+. Check the dreambox section on this forum for details.
Once this is complete, you should be able to view FTA channels.
