Star Track ST 2300 SUPER
Star Track, the most trusted name in satellite electronics these days. Star Track produce best quality digital satellite receivers at their factories in China and Korea, complimenting the complete range from FTA to PVR, HDD types. The newly introduced receiver of Star Track ST 2300 is excellent in size and shape.
One can see seven buttons on the front panel of ST 2300 Super receiver. The front panel window display is situated on the left side of the receiver in a round shape, which shows the onscreen channel number and time in a standby mode. There is also a card embedded slot on the front panel. The rear panel is equipped with Serial Interface RS-232 for uploading new receiver software, RCA jacks, video output, TV scart connector, RF output and a power button. The remote control will sit nicely in your hand and has any easy access to all the functions.
ST 2300 Super receiver has the capacity to store unlimited TV and Radio channels. It comes preprogrammed with updated C and Ku-band satellites from worldwide. The receiver supports DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 protocols. Users of multifeed antenna will be happy with this box. The receiver delivers the TV signals in CVBS format.
Star Track ST 2300 Super receiver can communicate with the users in different languages. The selection of languages include English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Turkish, Polish, Russian, DANISH, Greek, Hungarian, Arabic, Farsi and Dutch. This unique box is fully compliant with the international Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard and can receive digital satellite broadcastings. All the local osciallator frequencies for C and Ku-band are preprogrammed. It supports PAL and NTSC signal standard. If you have a wide-screen television, set the TV Aspect Ratio option to 16:9. You can enjoy well both wide-screen TV programmes with ST 2300 super receiver.
After selecting your favourite language for communication, the next step will be Installation. ST 2300 Super receiver performs two types of channel search. Single Search and Multi Search. You can select several satellites in this menu. The system will use DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1 and DiSEqC 1.2 and USALS functions to search the marked satellites and scan channels.
ST 2300 Super receiver has fastest channel search. 1397 TV and 518 Radio channels were found in 6 minutes and 50 seconds. After successful completion of channel searching, the receiver goes on the first channel found. The searched channels can be delete, sort and moved to the favourite lists.
Pressing the OK button will display the channel list on your screen. The channel list doest not disappear automatically, you will have to press the Exit button. The EPG has a smart design and loads the required information reasonably fast. The receiver has good mechanism for SCPC and MCPC signals. During our tests we did not come across any problems regarding symbolrates starting at the rate of 1.45ms/sec.
You can set a password for anyone who wishes to operate the Installation Menu. You can set the password to lock channels.
We were surprised to see when ST 2300 Super receiver picked the weak signals without any resistance. Switching between channels will really surprise you. In TV mode, press (0) key to enter the multipicture menu. In multipicture menu, you can choose channels preview window (static), starting from the current channel. Only the marked preview programme is continuously playing. The zoom function key will allow you to magnify a certain area on the images and the current screen will show.
Pressing the Teletext button in TV mode to open the teletext page. The service is depending on the support of the channel provider. If the channel does not support teletext information, it will show no teletext data on the screen.
The Info bar that appears for a number of seconds when switching to another channel or when the Info button is pushed on the remote, displays the channel number and satellite name with transponder and frequency.
