Nigerian broadcaster Silverbird TV (STV) is to launch a Nickelodeon kids block after striking a deal with MTV Networks International.
The free-to-air broadcaster will launch series including Dora The Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, Avatar and SpongeBob SquarePants as part of the block, which will air for one hour at 16:00 on weekdays and for an hour on Saturday mornings.
The channel, which broadcasts in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Benin and Jos, currently airs a number of animated kids series including Warner Bros Animation's The Zeta Racer and Speed Racer.
