The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has added TVP HD to its offer.
As a result, in now provides its subscribers with a total of 13 channels in HD, the other being Canal+ Film HD, Canal+ Sport HD, HBO HD, Cinemax HD, Filmbox HD, Fox Life HD, MTV HD, Eurosport HD, Eurosport 2 HD, National Geographic HD, Nat Geo Wild HD and Animal Planet HD.
TVP HD was launched by the Polish public broadcaster TVP in September 2008 and is the only national service in the country distributed in 1080i/50, 16:9 format and 5.1 sound.
Cyfra+ is one of five DTH platforms operating in Poland and currently has 1.55 million subscribers.
