The Dutch telecommunications company KPN offers through its IPTV service "Interactieve TV" ten HDTV channels.
The offer may benefit households in the VDSL network of the operator. According to the industry magazine "Broad Brand TV News", customers must pay an additional fee of ten euros to use the HD service. According to KPN ranging from the current Set-top boxes for reception, an exchange of the receiver is not necessary for the offer.
The package includes the Channel and Discovery HD Net5. KPN also offers a package of live sports offerings. Its market share in the Dutch digital TV market, KPN estimated at 23 percent.
