they are legal to be used as u can use them to watch fta channels. it is when someone installs the necessary files and codes that makes the difference.

It is well known that CCcam has a security issue and a backdoor is there for someone who knows how to use it.

The server owner has a port open on your system.
He knows you IP and all the channels you are watching.
Since your Dreambox is connected to your network.
If your network (connected to your computer) is not protected (mant are unfortunately not).
A person can roam around your system.

Please feel free to make any constructive comments.

i can see your point. got me thinking as there is no computer connected to my spiderbox.

Most news you hear, is that they have catched a pay-server.
The people who are running it, may go to jail. I've heared about something of till maximum 7 years. Was it now in Belgium or ... ?

Indeed, ones they have the material and stuff, they got the list of the users as well. Specially who has paid for the pay-server. No jail will be given, but taxes you have to pay. The largest fines I've readed on the internet was 15000 Euro's.

I don't know how it is with free cardsharing servers ? As a client !
If they got a free server-network with 100.000's of users, I don't think that they gonna charge fees on all these users. That's a very big job that will take a lot of time. Because these users are like little fish. More likely they catch the owners and the material, that's a big fish to catch.
