If I have a fixed dish facing 28.2 and I purchase card for a package that is on Hotbird 13 degree east, will I still be able to use it on my server ?

yes you can have a card from the hotbird or other satellite without having the dish pointed at it.

As mentioned without a valid subscription card to actually share into the community what you are actually asking is to become a user and re-sharer 'Free Exchange'.

you can do this no problem is it worth it not really you would have far more success with an official subscription card even if its a cheap *** **** card, This way people who want the card will exchange with you.

It is very difficult to get so called Free Exchanges mainly becuae why would someone give you a free Cline to there share for nothing in return

I also understand that foxy6800 wants to create hi own server but doesn't has any card.
In this case, you need ether to buy some cards or to buy a description with resharing rights.
If you will try to reshare your private c-line without the permission of the server, then probably you will have problems with him and he will get you out of his server.

Only for understanding, you want to create a server?
If yes, without own cards you have a problem, especially when your server should have a real local card on hop1 (the most wanted object) - or in other words, that's not possible.
Do you want to act as a "switch" for clients? In that case you need active lines from card-owners and your clients have hop2.

As I have stated in other posts I own a Xtrend Et4000.
I don't have any tv packages or subscriptions.
I was wondering if there is a way for me to help and contribute to the sharing community rather than just using my box for receiving channels.
I have a very high speed broadband and also an PC which I can install Ubuntu on and turn it into a server. But without owning any cards, is there any way to help?
