mvision270 down long time

my mvision 270 is down a long time now is the server ever going to open again,only five months old, not very good value for money,will all mvisions go the same way.

Agreed, mvision free iks server is really cr*p (no info/support) - from what I've read elsewhere, August is Holidays/servermaintance month in Spain (mvision country), but server should be back in September (not sure what will be open).

Here, all down also for several months now - just using this one now and then, with satlover server. But I know: here free cline section not available, so we'll have to wait.

dear dawbrain a friend of mine has also mvision and thinks the same.

well i guess it is the risk you take on cases like this

wait for september come back both for iks is the only thing about it you can do i am afraid

that's not entirely true, the 270 (as several other models) support cccam and newcamd (both only client) - cccam works very well (heard newcamd also, but didn't use this myself) - so, only 'bad' thing here is the free iks server, in general I'm very pleased with this box!

dear pan1100 i was surely reffering to dawbrain's specific remark for iks .

as i wrote i am not direct user of mvision and i am not doubting about general quality of box or whatever

Last year the same thing happened. I do not remember if the light came back in September or late August with games played.

dont know how to setup cclines so only using for freeview and using blue dragon card,

about entering clines in the 270, you first have to find an active cline - atm down, but normally ther're here: http://www.satlover.eu/forum/free-ca...art-again.html

then: menu - accessoires - network/videoclub - type = on - server = ip-setup (you should have internetconnection and an ip-address - server setup - enter eg the 1st server - type = cccam, then enter the values of the cline you found (name or ip address + port + id + password). Ignore the 'C:' and the 'no { 0:0:3 }'. After entering press apply and you should get connection to the server.

code 9090 is server menu is only to activate and deactivate the own mvision server (althought never worked on my mvision) - about server: menu -> right menu network/videoclub -> server -> server setup -> choose off/cccam/newcamd - enter the lines (mind capitals & the underscore '_' should be entered correctly).
