Basing on my direct experience, 99% of problems are given by bad electrolytic capacitors.
Within this 99%, 90% are capacitors in psu unit, the rest in network section.
I don't think you will receive a good support from clone sellers, so you have to repair boxes by yourself (with a little skill in electronics and soldering),

If you did, you would have noticed that there is no green screen or red screen or any other colour screen or burned parts as tuners or power supplies.

Yes, my friend. I have a DM500s with 7 years old and still working without problems. The question is: the % of problems in dm clones is big or not? And if we have problems who makes the reparation?

The hardware of an original can't be compared to a clone's one.
The one of the original is by far much much better.

Yes, the sim type is specified for each image. For a8p, as explained in this thread, original images can be used.

If you see here, there are "new" DM models (with little upgrades). If you wait some time maybe we will have new clones too.

You have to replace the sim ...

security sim is a piece of hardware (just like sims that you put into your mobile phone) with a software embedded.

'ssl' means 'second stage loader'. 84 is a version of it.

OK, but the silly question is why would they prevent running some images on the receiver?

Everything is marketing, and all are made for the profit.
Dmm sells in Europe original receivers for 450€ and a clone dreambox costs only 200€ (in China costs less than 200€).
Every original dreambox has inside it a sim card.
Dmm with this sim card try to protect their products, but with A8P cards and even E-Star cards it's posible a clone dreambox functioning as original.
Of course they are still "clones" and their quality can't touch the quality of an original.
