The Technomate TM-2T is at the top end of your price range, it is not as quick as the two receivers you have already listed, however it is twin tuner rather than single if that's worth you considering?

It is supported by the ViX Team and 4D Team so support is similar to the ET6500 and XP1000.

The Technomate TM-2T only have 384 MB RAM - is this enough?

I would say it's sufficient yes. The ever so popular Vu+ Duo has 384 MB of RAM too and people have been running multiple plugins etc. faultlessly on the Duos for years.

It is also worth noting that the Technomate TM-2T uses the same Broadcom 7335 processor that the Vu+ Duo uses.

Take a look at the 'optibox evo m7 hd dual linux os satellite receiver'.It works with enigma2 and it has 512 mb of ram. Now, it costs 139 pounds instead of 179 pounds because there is a discount.

The trouble with these 'dual boot' boxes is that the Enigma2 image support isn't as extensive as the true Enigma2 boxes. Personally, I'd rather go for a true Enigma2 box. Just my opinion

                      Re: Receiver between 150-200€

                      One question is:

there are appearing a lot of plugins related with xbmc and if the memory available is limited there will be "problem" - it's like in my dm500s: image + emu + 3/4 plugins = the memory is full. As we have seen in the recent dm upgrades, the memory will be very important for enigma2.

My dm500s has 7 years old and still running - it costed 200€ approx. I want to by a box for the next 7 years, at least.

                      regards

XBMC and IPTV is the future with the satellite receiver and i also have same thoughts with you. i will wait a few more mounts cause all change so fast the last few weeks and i sure like my new box to handle easily the new plugings. i cant afford to get another receiver in a year because the memory will be low fr the new updates.

The problem you have is your budget, to get any piece of technology that will last in terms of being relatively 'future proof' for at least 7 years you'll have to pay for a top end model.

My advice would be to hang off purchasing any receiver at the moment. There are a few newer and better specification receivers currently hitting the market and rumoured ones in the pipeline also coming out soon. Once most manufacturers have similar specification receivers out the price war will begin and prices for better specification boxes should start to fall.
