It would be nice to here if someone can pick up a signal in the south of the country with a 1.2mtr dish

People are picking up this signal easily in the north east. I just wonder what a big difference can 200 miles make.

No true i get it no problem, as i previously said those pictures with a beam range and dish size are a guide only.

You learn by what can be picked up of various other forums and members in different countrys, I install all over the NW and know with at least a 1m and a black ultra and of course line of sight and any nearby interference you should be able to pick it up.

Seems that the beam is stronger in the NW of the UK.

Maybe a house move is in order.

That is not the Nordic beam thats the european beam which holds Viasat baltic, In Ireland you would be looking at a minimum of at least 1.2m dish or any type of signal on the Nordic beam.

As above the european beam is very strong check out 2+2 channel and you will see what i mean, have a look at the beams as you can see Nordic finishes on the east coast with an estimate of 1.2m

The europe beam which holds the Viasat Baltic channels is a lot stronger many people get confused by the 2 thinking that viasat nordic and baltic are the same.

I have tried 11842 H and 11900 H and get 75% signal and 56% quality so not bad for weak transponders but still no signal on 5 east

Are you going through any sort of switch arrangement that could be losing you some signal ? if so any way you can bypass them? Just a thought.

Just been doing a little more research on this and looking at William 1's weakest transponder list you might just check
11.842 H 27500 Baltic Music Ch and also 11.900 H RTR Planeta and fine tune on these as a last resort

That looks pretty good, I suppose the only thing is to try adjusting on one of your weaker transponders without messing up the rest of your arc, the things we have to do in the never ending search.
