re: Formula 1 (F1) Broadcasters/Channels/calender
I don't suppose Nilesat 201 at 7w is doable in the south of England? Couldn't find a coverage map on Lyngsat.

re: Formula 1 (F1) Broadcasters/Channels/calender
This combined with BBC R5L audio is the best option for those who don't have Sly Sports F1 as I've found there are no English audio channels available in Europe.[/QUOTE]

Hi F1FAN. I`m F1 fan also, and watch the whole weekend on SKY SPORT F1 on 28E with english commentaries. It is excellent channel for F1 fans due to have lot of analyzations over whole weekend and lot of informations for the technical part of the F1. I`m paying 50 euros per year for CS to a guy who have lots of local cards with no freezing at all including sky sports UK.Leave a comment:

re: Formula 1 (F1) Broadcasters/Channels/calender
It might be off topic here but just to comment about the adverts on other channels. BBC dont show any adverts as its the agreement between the Licence fee payers and BBC that there won't be any adverts, therefore its costing us about £145 for the licence fee. There is no such agreement anywhere else in the world. Even in France we pay 121 Euros per year and get loads of adverts.I generally watch the FTA channels RTL & TF1 Suisse whilst listening to the commentary on BBC Radio 5 in the UK. The problem is both channels have a lot of adverts, in the UK F1 races are shown with no adverts. So I'm looking for other channels to switch between during adverts and ideally channels with English commentary so I don't have to listen to the Radio.Leave a comment:

Just in case there are any F1 fans interested, TF1 HD has now appeared FTA on Eurobird 9e. That combined with ORF Eins HD using softcam gives two HD channels for the race that don't require card sharing.

re: Formula 1 (F1) Broadcasters/Channels/calender
Hi toby, I guess I'm a little different to most people on here. I am only looking for specific channels that show F1 qualifying and races that are not shown on the BBC in the UK. That's only 10 races per year.

I was hoping to get Rai HD, that combined with ORF 1 HD (which I've already got working) would give me good coverage.
I couldn't understand why softcam.key files on the Internet contain keys for Rai but can't be entered on my OpenBox. I have posted another thread in the OpenBox forum to see if anyone actually knows what m box is capable of.Leave a comment:

f1fan, a softcam mainly is just an update to new keys, which most boxes you can enter manually via remote, but to me a waste of time, unless it is just those chns you just require, formula1 broadcasters chns.Leave a comment:

TBH I'm not overly familiar with your box. You may be able to enter the keys you want manually.
Your best bet is to head over to the Openbox section (see Toby's post#18) and ask there.Leave a comment:

re: Formula 1 (F1) Broadcasters/Channels/calender
Hi, I downloaded the latest file from key2sat, checked it in textedit (mac) then uploaded it to my OpenBox S10. It loaded ok and I found that I could now watch ORF 1 HD which I think is CW encrypted. I had really hoped to be able to watch Rai but it didn't work.
When I went back to the softcam settings I realised my OpenBox had only imported lines beginning with I and W. It had ignored lines beginning with S, V, N & F.
Do you know if this is a limitation of my receiver?
ThanksLeave a comment:

Hi F1Fan,
Just be cautious about what you stick on you box - do a little research.
You should be able to open the softcam file with Notepad to examine the contents before uploading to your box.
Let us know how you get on.Leave a comment:

So basically it's software emulation of the decryption process that normally uses a card. Sounds good, first search result in ****** gave me a softcam file with loads of entries so I'm going to give it a try!most of the receiver with a custom firmware have an option were you can add key's to encrypt the channels called emulator (if im right
) just need do put the keys for the channel into the box and thats it no cs needed, with that you should be able to see the packages from rai & ORF or others which ORF indeed shows the F1 and also in HD

So, Rai1 looks like a good option for me as I have 13e setup already. Sorry to ask, but can you explain what you mean when you say it will open with a softcam and doesn't need a server? I'm very new to card sharing and am struggling to understand all the details.

Your right it does have language, I must have been really tired when I looked at that page as I completely missed it staring me in the face! The third box from the left on the Wiki page tells you the language.
For glitch free viewing you should try RTL 7 & ORF Eins (19.2e) and RAI 1 (13e) as I believe these will open with a softcam on Openbox, so no need to rely on a server. I doubt these will have an English language commentary though.
