Dream revolutionises the consumption of digital media

Dream Multimedia, the leading provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, will provide visitors to the Anga Cable show, which takes place from the 12th to the 14th of June 2012 with a glimpse into the future of digital media. Dream will be presenting its Goliath project at its stand, E34 in hall 10.2.
Goliath is a totally new hardware and software product, combining all the features of the successful Dreambox series, and indeed will go
beyond that. The project will set new standards in terms of speed and innovation, and will revolutionise the manner in which media contents are consumed. Goliath is currently still at the development stage, and it can thus not yet be stated precisely when the product will be available in the trade.
However, Dream will provide a glimpse of the future of digital media at the Anga Cable show. Goliath will be introduced for the first time in
a video. In addition, visitors to the Dream Multimedia stand at the show can get an actual feel for this innovative hardware.

I sincerefully hope that it would take it's piece of the Multimedia cake.
Personal computer is the only one that is leaping towards uniting all multimedia into one personified device capable of almost everything. Gaming, movie industry VOD on demand services etc.
I think Goliath is something similar to that, as it's quite known that Linux is the only system capable enough to answer most demanding fast changing informational technology electronic industry services on world wide scale!!!
Reasonable enough that Satelite services are gonna be embedded to multimedia services. There are so much transponder capabilities with digital age, that could house gaming capabilities as well.
That's thing that need to be investigated more.

Does anyone have news about this project? DreamMultimedia has not been present in Anga Cable... is Goliath project "dead"? Regards

In a well known forum dedicated to dm machines, there is an administrator that have this write in his signature: E3 Box: Goliath. Do you think it's true?!

As written at another place, it is known in germany that dream-multimedia has massive problems. I have no news if they are really "insolvent" (means ~bankrupt), but if they keep their price-politics their problems will get higher. And this has a huge effect on the goliath-project - if it still comes...

Dream multimedia are playing catchup with vu+ and the cloners.
Vu+ came along and offered a product of equal or better quality for a third of the price.
Also a constant battle with clones. They'll have to drastically decrease their pricing to be competitive.

and what about apple, only samsung try to clone them

how apple succed with high price ?

my suggestion: apple is exclusive brend, like louis vuiton, chanel, omega, ralph lauren, ... -> and definitively for not-geeks !

today linux open apps provides the geeks all they need to build a fantastic home-media-pc, hidden in a so sat rcvr box ! , or in a raspberry !

they should think about this ...

Holy god, they gone bankrupt, good job, maybe they should been thinking about selling their boxes for a bit less money, now they go without any money

Dream Multimedia has bigger problem for now.
They gone bankrupt and I think that there is no Goliath project.
May be some Chinese company of clones make a movement, but Dream ... there is no dream anymore...
