Orange’s content and services portal will soon arrive on TCL’s connected TV sets in Europe.
The French Telco has inked a partnership agreement with leading Chinese consumer electronics company TCL, who markets its TV sets under the Thomson and TCL brands in Europe, for a connected TV portal.
The portal will be available in France first, over the first quarter of 2012, on all TCL and Thomson smart TVs, before being expanded to other European countries in the course of 2012.
Orange’s portal will be accessed in one click using the direct access key on TCL TV remote controls regardless of internet service provider. It will offer a sampling of Orange content and services including Orange Sport Info, Liveradio, along with enhanced programming guide, trailers of the week’s movie releases, and free content from Orange’s cinema series channels. Other content and services will be added in the near future.
